Gravity flow pallet rack (also called live pallet rack) is one of the high density storage racks. The rack depth could be up to 30 pallets deep. The pick-up mode is “First in first out (FIF0)”. One channel is better for one goods type or goods that taken out in order.
The rack working principle as following.
1. The higher end is equipped with guide rail.
2. Pallet is placed on the higher end and flow down under the function of its gravity.
3. Guide rail make the pallet flow in the right direction.
4. Damping systems are equipped along the roller line to make the pallet flow down with speed around 200mm per second.
5. Separator is placed on the lower end with its position between the first pallet and the second one.
6. When first pallet reaches the lowest end, separator start work and prevents the second pallet from flowing down. After the first pallet is picked up, the separator release, and the second pallet takes the pick-up position.
